Thiago Quadros hit a great ball. In the 26th match minute, Acajutiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Dias to maneuver through the defense. If Vicente dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Geovânio Abraão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldir da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Acajutiba's Waldir da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Acajutiba from getting a goal against them. Waldir da Costa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Geovânio Abraão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 54 minute of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Vicente dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acajutiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
