The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho Paraíba got free with Emílio Linhares in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 36 minutes, Ciro de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aurora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emílio Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Filipe Branco was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Robinho Abraão. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of Aurora booed when Tortinho EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Aurora players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
