Fabinho Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Maranhense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Paraíba in the 24th minute of play forced Igualdade SS's goalkeeper Sidney Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Igualdade SS defense, Fabinho Paraíba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidney Maranhense. The Igualdade SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidney Maranhense should have stopped the shot. Ivo Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ivo Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Igualdade SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tortinho EC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Donatello was the one to do the kick off. Fabinho Paraíba's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sidney Maranhense firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Abraão in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidney Maranhense saved Igualdade SS from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Luiz Eduardo do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igualdade SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Eduardo do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tortinho EC's Fabinho Paraíba got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 minutes, Pedro Paulo de Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tortinho EC and the Igualdade SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Tortinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Paulo de Sena. If Luiz Eduardo do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabinho Paraíba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sidney Maranhense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Igualdade SS's zone, Fabinho Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Maranhense came out of the goal and Fabinho Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igualdade SS's Sidney Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Abraão in the 95th minute of play. Fabinho Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tortinho EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
