After a defensive mix-up in Gurinhata SC's zone, Percival Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Abraão came out of the goal and Percival Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeu Proença in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robinho Abraão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Romeu Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robinho Abraão was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Fabrício Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Campineiro's Romeu Proença nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robinho Abraão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Gurinhata SC's zone, Romeu Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Abraão came out of the goal and Romeu Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Proença in the 46th minute of play forced Gurinhata SC's goalkeeper Robinho Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Romeu Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robinho Abraão was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Régis Neiva made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Neiva in the 53rd minute of play forced Campineiro's goalkeeper André Luís Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Kléberson Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luciano Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Robinho Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kléberson Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robinho Abraão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. When Romeu Proença came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Campineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeu Proença couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Luciano Pinheiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Robinho Abraão however easily saved by the left post. Hermínio Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Abraão having to interfere. Robinho Abraão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeu Proença's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Campineiro's Hermínio Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Gurinhata SC's zone, Gilmar Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Abraão came out of the goal and Gilmar Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Gurinhata SC's goalkeeper Robinho Abraão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilmar Azevedo. Régis Neiva's late challenge caught a Campineiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Régis Neiva helped the player get up and apologised. Geovânio Leão hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gurinhata SC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Almir Secco hit a great ball. Romeu Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Luciano Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Campineiro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
