In the 55th match minute, Corredor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Meira to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Benjamin Vidal managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Corredor's Gilberto Botelho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Valladares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Vidal was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. The shot was a little too simple and Benjamin Vidal could save by the left post. 93 minutes into the match, Itanhomi AD's goalkeeper Benjamin Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Botelho. In the 94th minute, Ezequiel Ramalho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benjamin Vidal, passed just outside the right post. In the 96th minute, Gilberto Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Corredor's Ezequiel Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 101st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Itanhomi AD succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Corredor had controlled the match.
