If Armando Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dráuzio Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dráuzio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renan Marques during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Renan Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percy de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Gugu Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gugu Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy de Queiroz in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Itacy SS's Percy de Queiroz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gugu Oliveira. Gugu Oliveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Hermes in the 29th minute of play forced Itacy SS's goalkeeper Dráuzio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráuzio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Itacy SS's Dráuzio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Brasil in the 37th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Gil Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube and the Itacy SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gil Coutinho hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Armando Hermes made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fabiano de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fabiano de Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gugu Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's Armando Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fabiano de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Luiz Fabiano de Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itacy SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 73 played minutes Itacy SS got a freekick which was hit by Marco Souto. Luís Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio Cearense having to interfere. Percy de Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gugu Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Percy de Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 79 minutes, Rui Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itacy SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gugu Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Luís Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itacy SS's Dráuzio Cearense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Itacy SS from getting a goal against them. Itacy SS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
