Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Etiópia FC's Gerson Guerra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes of play, Entremontes AD's Dida Esteves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiaguinho da Mata was left in no man's land by his defense there! Entremontes AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Carlos Alberto Viana scored to the left of an out of position Geovani Simão, making the score, 1-1. Tiaguinho Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiaguinho Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Tiaguinho Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Etiópia FC's Geovani Simão threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gerson Guerra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 17 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Etiópia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Entremontes AD the free kick. A collision led to Etiópia FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Carlos Alberto Viana hit a great ball. Carlos Alberto Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Geovani Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovani Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Geovani Simão came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Etiópia FC's Carlos Alberto Viana. But to his dismay, Carlos Alberto Viana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Gerson Guerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geovani Simão came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerson Guerra slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 29th minute. When Gerson Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Etiópia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Guerra couldn't finish the play. Geovani Simão made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Carlos Alberto Viana sent off a good shot on target. After 36 played minutes, Etiópia FC's Donatello da Mata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geovani Simão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Etiópia FC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Entremontes AD's zone, Gerson Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Simão came out of the goal and Gerson Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Alberto Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válter Mendes was the one to do the kick off. Geovani Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 minutes of play Entremontes AD's Tiaguinho Arruda was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Tiaguinho Arruda hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the game, Fernandão Dantas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Entremontes AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Etiópia FC the free kick. A collision led to Entremontes AD getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Válter Mendes hit a great ball. Carlos Alberto Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Geovani Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Gerson Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Etiópia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerson Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Alberto Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carlos Alberto Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Gerson Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Alberto Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Simão having to interfere. Geovani Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerson Guerra in the 90th minute of play. Etiópia FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
