Ulysses Arce scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruninho de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudinho Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruninho de Souza having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Pipinuque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. Ulysses Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Campidelis in the 21st minute of play forced Ibitiguacu EC's goalkeeper Simão Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Paulo de Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Zé Paulo de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pipinuque booed when Ibitiguacu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ibitiguacu EC's zone, Zé Paulo de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Medeiros came out of the goal and Zé Paulo de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulysses Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bruninho de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Medeiros having to interfere. With a left leg Simão Medeiros saved Ibitiguacu EC from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Pipinuque's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Messias came free, but Bruninho de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulysses Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bruninho de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibitiguacu EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pipinuque for a fine match.
