Manoel Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Guilhermino SS's Víktor Paranaense in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catune's goalie prevented a goal. Manoel Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Dantas having to interfere. Manoel Corrêa took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Dantas. Armindo Dantas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Catune's zone, Manoel Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Dantas came out of the goal and Manoel Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Guilhermino SS's Víktor Paranaense in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catune's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Catune getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Frédson Silva hit a great ball. After 25 minutes of play, Guilhermino SS's Manoel Corrêa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armindo Dantas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manoel Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Armindo Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guilhermino SS. Cipriano Chaves hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Fernandes in the 33rd minute of play forced Catune's goalkeeper Armindo Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo das Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juvenal Coutinho in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute Hernani Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Coutinho in the 38th minute of play forced Guilhermino SS's goalkeeper Arnaldo das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Manoel Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armindo Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Paranaense in the 46th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Catune's zone, Víktor Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armindo Dantas came out of the goal and Víktor Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Noel Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noel Arantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Catune getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Noel Arantes hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Guilhermino SS's Manoel Corrêa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armindo Dantas. Armindo Dantas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Carlos Eduardo Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manoel Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Armindo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Catune's goal looked a bit too open when Manoel Corrêa came free, but Armindo Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Víktor Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Catune's Armindo Dantas got control of the ball when Víktor Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Carlos Eduardo Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guilhermino SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Eduardo Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Catune's Frédson Silva got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes in the game, Víktor Paranaense fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Armindo Dantas having to interfere. Guilhermino SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
