The supporters of Agroboys Futebol Colegial booed when Guilhermino SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes, Agroboys Futebol Colegial's Cléberson Catarinense shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnaldo das Neves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Agroboys Futebol Colegial reached it. Arnaldo das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Cabral in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Guilhermino SS getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Manoel Corrêa hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Hernani Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guilhermino SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernani Antunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Lucas Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Arnaldo das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Agroboys Futebol Colegial's Cléberson Catarinense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo das Neves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Manoel Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilton Cabral in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnaldo das Neves saved Guilhermino SS from getting behind. If Wilton Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. In the 77th minute Manoel Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmelo Leoiar charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Leoiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute of the match, Manoel Corrêa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but André Paiva saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
