Zé Roberto Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enio Terra having to interfere. The supporters of São Sebastião FC booed when Araraquara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Roberto Batista was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Roberto Batista in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enio Terra saved Araraquara FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Araraquara FC's Danilo Britto got a free kick in the 57th minute. Zé Roberto Batista ran back to his position shaking his head. Inácio da Costa hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Cauã Rocha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enio Terra. Araraquara FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Enio Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Virgílio Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Roberto Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredinho Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
