Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Itaimbe's Zé Pedro Carneiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sandrinho Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto de Andrade's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Itaimbe's Sandrinho Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto de Andrade in the 6th minute of play. If Celso Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho Guimarães having to interfere. If Zé Pedro Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roseiral's Humberto de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dadá Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Humberto de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Pedro Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Breno de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos de Almeida having to make a save. Sandrinho Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Faustino in the 32nd minute of the match. When Zé Pedro Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Itaimbe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Carneiro couldn't finish the play. Zé Pedro Carneiro had several of the Roseiral's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Carlos de Almeida as he didn't even see the shot coming. 46 minutes into the game, Roseiral's Humberto de Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sandrinho Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celso Faustino to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Carneiro in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Roseiral's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Carneiro came free, but Carlos de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Pedro Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Roseiral's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Carneiro came free, but Carlos de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Pedro Paulo da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Sandrinho Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roseiral. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Pedro Carneiro in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Breno de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Carneiro in the 73rd minute of the match. Zé Pedro Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Donato hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Humberto de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho Guimarães having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Dadá Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute, Breno de Brito made a precise shot to the right of Carlos de Almeida. Roseiral's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Zé Pedro Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the game, Itaimbe's Zé Pedro Carneiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos de Almeida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. There was no doubt that Itaimbe were the better team. Itaimbe's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
