Inácio Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Isaltino Domingues scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredão Tepedino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Mansinha getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Sílvio Guedes hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Tião Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Mansinha's goalkeeper Inácio Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tião Pitta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Cavalcante in the 27th minute of play forced Mansinha's goalkeeper Inácio Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tião Pitta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Inácio Alcântara made a huge save. Inácio Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Tião Pitta sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the match, Mansinha's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Cavalcante came free, but Inácio Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mansinha's Ediberto de Azevedo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nestor Baptista, made in the 45th minute of the game. Mansinha's Inácio Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Cavalcante in the 46th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaltino Domingues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Alfredão Tepedino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mansinha's Inácio Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Pitta in the 56th minute of play. Alfredão Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Isaltino Domingues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredão Tepedino. Arapixy AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaltino Domingues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Inácio Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Pitta in the 68th minute of play. After 71 minutes of play, Arapixy AD's Tião Pitta made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inácio Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inácio Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Cruz in the 84th minute of play forced Arapixy AD's goalkeeper Alfredão Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arapixy AD's Alfredão Tepedino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Arapixy AD from getting a goal against them. Alfredão Tepedino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Mansinha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mansinha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
