Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Albertino Vander made the kick off which started today's match. Arapixy AD's Júlio Cavalcante was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 2nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Zé Paulo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Cavalcante in the 8th minute of play. Júlio Cavalcante was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Volta SS's Túlio Soares got a free kick in the 10th minute. After some careless play in the Volta SS defense, Dagoberto Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Luz. The Volta SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Paulo Luz should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Chico Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Volta SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredão Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Vander in the 19th minute of play forced Arapixy AD's goalkeeper Alfredão Tepedino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Erivaldo Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Volta SS's zone, Tião Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Luz came out of the goal and Tião Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Paulo Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Volta SS's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tião Pitta. Tião Pitta might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Paulo Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tião Pitta ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, Júlio Cavalcante notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Volta SS's Zé Paulo Luz. Zé Paulo Luz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zé Paulo Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júlio Cavalcante to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Paulo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagoberto Pirani charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dagoberto Pirani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 58 minutes into the game, one of Arapixy AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Arapixy AD's Zézinho Leão got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 65 played minutes, Volta SS's Túlio Soares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredão Tepedino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Volta SS reached it. When Júlio Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Arapixy AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd match minute, Volta SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco da Costa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Arapixy AD's Zézinho Leão got a free kick in the 80th minute. Júlio Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tião Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Luz having to interfere. Nestor Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Volta SS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Túlio Soares in the 97th minute. A well done corner resulted in Chico Gaspar drilling the ball in to score 4-2 behind Arapixy AD's goalkeeper. When the referee ended the match the Arapixy AD players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
