In the 3rd minute, Fabiano Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the game, one of Tambau:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Cláudio Amaral, was totally fooled by Futuro Incerto FC's Zé Fonseca, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Adhemar Teles's late challenge caught a Tambau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adhemar Teles helped the player get up and apologised. Adhemar Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Futuro Incerto FC's zone, Ramón Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celsinho Quintal came out of the goal and Ramón Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Zé Fonseca fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 26th minute Futuro Incerto FC were awarded a corner. Zé Fonseca went to the cornerflag to take it. Futuro Incerto FC were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Tambau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Fonseca took the corner. Zé Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Cláudio Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futuro Incerto FC. With an all-out effort, Futuro Incerto FC's Cláudio Amaral threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zé Fonseca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 35 minutes into the game, Belmiro Paiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Celsinho Quintal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raphael Perez hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When Hernani Mello fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Futuro Incerto FC's protests and gave Hernani Mello a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tambau's zone, Armandinho Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio Amaral came out of the goal and Armandinho Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Adhemar Teles hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Natã Pitta, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Adhemar Teles hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Tambau's Álvaro Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 62 played minutes Futuro Incerto FC got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Teles. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Celsinho Quintal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Fonseca in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Amaral saved Tambau from getting behind. Celsinho Quintal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Luís Peres showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 72 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Zé Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futuro Incerto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celsinho Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tambau getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Antônio Baiano hit a great ball. Armandinho Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cláudio Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armandinho Penha ran back to his position shaking his head. When Futuro Incerto FC's Zé Fonseca in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tambau's goalie prevented a goal. 83 minutes into the game, Armandinho Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Cláudio Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Armandinho Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tambau succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Futuro Incerto FC had controlled the match.
