Léo Madureira's late challenge caught a Herculano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Léo Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. Léo Madureira hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Vítor Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Herculano's attentive Ediberto do Vale managed to snatch the ball when Ismael Leme made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. In the 77th minute Léo Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Bruninho Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Madureira in the 82nd minute of play forced Herculano's goalkeeper Bruninho Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Herculano's Tadeu Melo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. If Léo Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. Cláudio Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Monteiro having to interfere. The Carmesia SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Carmesia SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
