The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juarês Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Motta in the 7th minute of play. Victor Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês Miranda having to interfere. Victor Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Zé Augusto Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Coelho having to interfere. Romeu Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Costa in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Zé Augusto Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapuirama's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Augusto Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Zé Augusto Félix came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Tapuirama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Augusto Félix couldn't finish the play. After 35 minutes of play, Tapuirama's Cléberson Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeu Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juarês Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Ferreira in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Itatiayassu AD's Bernardinho Moura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juarês Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juarês Miranda made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Leopoldo Urbano sent off a good shot on target. Victor Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Juarês Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itatiayassu AD.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cléberson Costa to make the kick off. Juarês Koehler hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. A collision led to Itatiayassu AD getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Amauri Motta hit a great ball. Michel Linhares hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 69 minutes in the game, Zé Augusto Félix fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Romeu Coelho having to interfere. Victor Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Juarês Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmundo Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Itatiayassu AD's Edmundo Mendonça got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 75 played minutes Tapuirama got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Lucas. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Cléberson Costa took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Romeu Coelho to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Itatiayassu AD's Leopoldo Urbano got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Victor Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Itatiayassu AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Ferreira couldn't finish the play.
