In the 7th minute of the match Franklin Figueiredo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardinho Vasconcelos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Tião da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caconda EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 played minutes Caconda EC got a freekick which was hit by William Rosa. The Caconda EC fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Caconda EC's Walmyr Meirelles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião da Cunha in the 26th minute of play forced Arapongas E.C.'s goalkeeper Ricardinho Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tião da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Luís Guilherme de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Caconda EC's Franklin Figueiredo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Paulo José Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. A hard shot 47 in the game by Tião da Cunha from a close distance when the talented Ricardinho Vasconcelos managed to make a qualified save. Arapongas E.C.'s players were relieved.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tião da Cunha to make the kick off. Walmyr Meirelles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardinho Vasconcelos having to make a save. Ricardinho Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62ndth minute of the game Tião da Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arapongas E.C.'s Ricardinho Vasconcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardinho Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tião da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ricardinho Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardinho Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Meirelles in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Walmyr Meirelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardinho Vasconcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ricardinho Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Meirelles in the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião da Cunha in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardinho Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Arapongas E.C. defense, Tião da Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardinho Vasconcelos. The Arapongas E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardinho Vasconcelos should have stopped the shot. Walmyr Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardinho Vasconcelos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmyr Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. For all the effort they put into the match, the Arapongas E.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caconda EC.
