Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cesinha Pitta took the kick off in the first half of the match. Anísio Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor de Mendonça in the 3rd minute of play. Anísio Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After 14 minutes, Noel Campidelis made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Flamengo's João Francisco Brito tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Noel Campidelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Francisco Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noel Campidelis ran back to his position shaking his head. 22 minutes into the match, Ipecu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Igor de Mendonça came free, but Anísio Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, Flamengo's Jorge Arósio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anísio Leal was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Noel Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesinha Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. João Francisco Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Glauco Barros hit a great ball. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ademir Pinho hit a great ball. João Francisco Brito acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Francisco Britto. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor de Mendonça made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Víktor de Toledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipecu AD and the Flamengo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Ipecu AD got a freekick which was hit by Víktor de Toledo. Iuri Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When Cesinha Pitta came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ipecu AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesinha Pitta couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ademir Pinho hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Almeida. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flamengo's goalkeeper João Francisco Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's Luís Fabiano Amorim got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 75th minute, Cesinha Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anísio Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor de Mendonça in the 80th minute of play. Igor de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Leal having to interfere. Cesinha Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
