Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Afonso da Rocha made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute of the match Bernardinho Gaúcho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Matorin skillfully saved the ball. Erasmo Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso da Rocha in the 5th minute of play. Afonso da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Soeiro having to interfere. Afonso da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Erasmo Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Martins in the 28th minute of play forced Missionario's goalkeeper Marcus Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marcinho Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Missionario's protests and gave Marcinho Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. Marcinho Domingues hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Missionario's zone, João Vítor Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Matorin came out of the goal and João Vítor Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Missionario's Afonso da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcinho Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Erasmo Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso da Rocha was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 42 minutes of play, Missionario's Toninho Galvão made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erasmo Soeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Vítor Martins to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Martins in the 54th minute of play forced Missionario's goalkeeper Marcus Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jardineiro SS's goalkeeper Erasmo Soeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valdo Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Matorin having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Afonso da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdo Mesquita got free with Marcus Matorin in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 77 minutes, João Vítor Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jardineiro SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Vítor Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Afonso da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Soeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Jardineiro SS's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso da Rocha came free, but Erasmo Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jardineiro SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
