Luiz Fábio Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Rodeiro SC defense, Oscar Passos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Linares. The Rodeiro SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Linares should have stopped the shot. After 17 minutes, Cipriano Ortiz made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Rodeiro SC's José Linares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the game, Toninho Galvão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cahem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rodeiro SC the free kick. Toninho Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. If Luiz Fábio Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Ortiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Linares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Ortiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Oscar Passos struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. José Linares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cahem. After a rather tough play, Rodeiro SC's Henrique Zonta got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Rodeiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Passos came free, but José Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Oscar Passos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. José Linares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oscar Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. José Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Oscar Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cahem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Passos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Henrique Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Oscar Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luiz Fábio Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Célio Branco came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Rodeiro SC's Luiz Fábio Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Luiz Fábio Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

The wind increased when Henrique Zonta made the kick off in the second half. José Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Oscar Passos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. José Linares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodeiro SC's José Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Passos in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Henrique Zonta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rodeiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rodeiro SC's goalkeeper José Linares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Cipriano Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rodeiro SC's Luiz Fábio Hoffmann got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Cahem got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Passos. In the 82nd minute, Oscar Passos fired away a free kick, which, to José Linares's relief, went just outside the right post. In the 85thth minute of the game Oscar Passos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rodeiro SC's José Linares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Fábio Hoffmann hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Rodeiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Passos came free, but José Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Linares having to interfere.
