When Jorge Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laura Futebol Clube's protests and gave Jorge Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. Jorge Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Laura Futebol Clube's William Schmidt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Ramalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marco Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute.
