Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Rodrigo Mattos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Aracati's zone, Isaltino Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney Braga came out of the goal and Isaltino Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Sydney Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Heriqueta's Rodrigo Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sydney Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sydney Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Mattos in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Sydney França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Aracati's Antônio Paraibano got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Aracati's Sydney Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Teles in the 24th minute of play. Christian Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Braga having to interfere. In the 29th minute Rodrigo Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Aracati! Rodrigo Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Braga having to interfere. In the 39th minute Rodrigo Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Isaltino Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heriqueta's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaltino Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sydney Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 47 minutes, Rodrigo Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heriqueta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Paulo Godoi to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Rodrigo Mattos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sydney Braga. The goal made the score 0-1. Rodrigo Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Braga having to interfere. Aracati's Sydney Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Mattos in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Rodrigo Mattos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Aracati's zone, Isaltino Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney Braga came out of the goal and Isaltino Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sydney Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isaltino Teles in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Aracati's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Mattos came free, but Sydney Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaltino Teles was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Heriqueta's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 84 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Mattos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sydney Braga, 0-2. In the 90th minute, Rodrigo Mattos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Heriqueta played a much better game than Aracati and deserved their victory. The Aracati players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
