A collision led to Buriti SS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Wilian Recife hit a great ball. Ulysses da Rocha, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Zé Pedro Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murillo Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Couto having to interfere. The supporters of Buriti SS booed when Chicuru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Murillo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrício das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Couto having to interfere. Chicuru's Eusébio Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Nunes in the 34th minute of play. Eusébio Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Nunes in the 40th minute of play. After 43 played minutes Chicuru got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Loureiro. After a rather tough play, Buriti SS's Fabrício das Neves got a free kick in the 45th minute. Eusébio Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Pedro Zonta was the one to do the kick off. Cléberson Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléberson Loureiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cléberson Loureiro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Chicuru's Eusébio Couto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Chicuru from getting a goal against them. Eusébio Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Murillo Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buriti SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Murillo Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Buriti SS booed when Chicuru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléberson Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murillo Nunes in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eusébio Couto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Murillo Nunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Eusébio Couto made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Chicuru's Michel Rosado got a free kick in the 70th minute. With a little luck, Chicuru's Eusébio Couto got control of the ball when Murillo Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremias de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Buriti SS's Nelsinho da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias de Alcântara in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Buriti SS getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Wilian Recife hit a great ball. Ulysses da Rocha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nelsinho da Cunha. Buriti SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 89th minute, Cléberson Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Buriti SS's Fabrício das Neves dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. When Chicuru's Zé Pedro Zonta in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buriti SS's goalie prevented a goal. The Buriti SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Buriti SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
