Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gonçalo Diniz got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, André Luiz Mumbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Cidade defense, Romário Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Digo Correia. The Cidade fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Digo Correia should have stopped the shot. After 16 played minutes Cidade got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Senna. Renato Mattos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Reinaldo Mandrak made a huge save. If Hortêncio Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Guerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Reinaldo Mandrak came out and tried to block the shot, but Yuri Guerra slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romário Garcia in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Digo Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Elivélton Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Hortêncio Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute Elivélton Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Digo Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romário Garcia to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Romário Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute of the match, Elivélton Linares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Digo Correia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ciniaco's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hortêncio Miranda in the 59th minute. Reinaldo Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Guerra in the 61st minute of play. Jânio Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Digo Correia having to interfere. When Ciniaco's Romário Garcia in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cidade's goalie prevented a goal. Romário Garcia spun around in front of the goal 75 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cidade's goal. Yuri Guerra hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Renato Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Mandrak having to interfere. Romário Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Jânio Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Digo Correia made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Elivélton Linares sent off a good shot on target. Ciniaco played a much better game than Cidade and deserved their victory. The Cidade players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
