Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ezequiel Sá started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Fabiano Pena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rubinho Mattos. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. In the 7th minute, Cássio Lopes made a precise shot to the right of Cesinha Antunes. Cantao SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Sá in the 18th minute of play forced Maruahy FC's goalkeeper Rubinho Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Sá in the 22nd minute of the match. Cesinha Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maruahy FC's Cássio Lopes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cesinha Antunes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Afonso Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha Antunes having to interfere. Lino Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Cruz struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Cesinha Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maruahy FC. In the 44th minute, Lino Trevisan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maruahy FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A sloppy throw-in by Hamílton Barros in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Maruahy FC's Manoel Cearense. If Manoel Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Cruz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cesinha Antunes firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Manoel Cearense came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Maruahy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manoel Cearense couldn't finish the play. With his leg Cesinha Antunes managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Maruahy FC's Lino Trevisan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Tavares got free with Cesinha Antunes in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cássio Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Maruahy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Lopes couldn't finish the play. After 70 played minutes Maruahy FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Tavares. Maruahy FC's Rubinho Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Sá in the 79th minute of play.
