Zé Roberto Amaral started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Célio Araújo during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nico Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Amaral in the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Roberto Amaral in the 8th minute of play forced Morcegos F.C's goalkeeper Nico Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Morcegos F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Amaral came free, but Nico Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Morcegos F.C getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Patrício Lucas hit a great ball. When Atlético Araçatuba's Rafael Breckenfeld in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Atlético Araçatuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Morcegos F.C defense, Rafael Breckenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nico Lopes. The Morcegos F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nico Lopes should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd match minute, Morcegos F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Mazza to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nico Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enéas Ceresso's late challenge caught a Morcegos F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enéas Ceresso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Atlético Araçatuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enéas Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. Nico Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rafael Breckenfeld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerson Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Caio Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Patrick Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Soares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nico Lopes. Morcegos F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Atlético Araçatuba booed when Morcegos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardinho Cardoso hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. A hard shot 79 in the game by Rafael Breckenfeld from a close distance when the talented Nico Lopes managed to make a qualified save. Morcegos F.C's players were relieved. If Valdomiro Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Morcegos F.C booed when Atlético Araçatuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Caio Vides's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerson Pontes was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
