In the 10th minute, Manoel de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natanael Vasconcelos in the 11th minute of play forced Jeriba SC's goalkeeper Flávio Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Bardo SC's Natanael Vasconcelos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Flávio Teles. Flávio Teles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Tiaguinho Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Jeriba SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Carlos Augusto Barbosa hit a great ball. Oscar Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Veloso in the 26th minute of play. If Tiaguinho Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Veloso in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eduardo Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manoel de Sena scored 1-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Tiaguinho Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jeriba SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Favoretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natanael Vasconcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jeriba SC's goalkeeper Flávio Teles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Tiaguinho Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jeriba SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Favoretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tiaguinho Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Flávio Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
