In the 14th match minute, Moraes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Moraes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Veloso came free, but Otávio Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Flávio Teles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moraes EC. After a defensive mix-up in Jeriba SC's zone, Diego Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Teles came out of the goal and Diego Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erik Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Teles having to interfere. Jeriba SC's Flávio Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Mendes in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Jeriba SC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Mendes came free, but Flávio Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Teles having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Veloso was the one to do the kick off. Jeriba SC's Tiaguinho Favoretto got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Otávio Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Erik Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flávio Teles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Erik Barbosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Flávio Teles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Otávio Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Veloso in the 82nd minute of play. Erik Barbosa got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-2 in the right cross in the 84th match minute before Flávio Teles had time to react. 88 minutes into the match, Moraes EC's Erik Barbosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Teles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Jeriba SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Moraes EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
