After some careless play in the Flor defense, Glauco Baiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arí Pernambucano. The Flor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arí Pernambucano should have stopped the shot. Luiz Gustavo Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafinha Alagoano hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Vágner Botelho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 14th minute. Flor's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vágner Botelho got free with Luiz Gustavo Alcântara in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in YamahaSchwartzRioGrande's zone, Alexsandro Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo Alcântara came out of the goal and Alexsandro Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Marco Castro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luiz Gustavo Alcântara, 1-1. In the 28th match minute, Flor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Botelho to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 33 minutes, Glauco Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. YamahaSchwartzRioGrande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glauco Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute of the match, Marco Castro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luiz Gustavo Alcântara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Vágner Botelho fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flor's protests and gave Vágner Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Niceto Norino managed to get in a good position for a shot. YamahaSchwartzRioGrande's supporters rose to their feet, but Niceto Norino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arí Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arí Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Baiano in the 42nd minute of play. Niceto Norino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Arí Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Glauco Baiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Arí Pernambucano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

YamahaSchwartzRioGrande's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
