Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Vagner's Roger Cordeiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Vagner booed when Grunge Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murillo de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vagner's Roger Cordeiro in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grunge Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Cristiano Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Carvalho in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Dalmo Zanette was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vagner's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grunge Futebol Clube the free kick. A collision led to Vagner getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Dalmo Zanette hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Grunge Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Zanette came free, but Emerson Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Vagner's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Carvalho came free, but Cristiano Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Carvalho in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Roberto Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 36 played minutes Vagner got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Martins. Dalmo Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Roger Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vagner's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47thth minute of the game Dalmo Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grunge Futebol Clube's Emerson Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murillo de Brito to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Belmiro Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grunge Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute, Claudinho Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmo Zanette took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emerson Oliveira. Emerson Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cristiano Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Claudinho Diniz got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Belmiro Carvalho. Oséas Leão charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oséas Leão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oséas Leão hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Dalmo Zanette came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emerson Oliveira could save by the left post. Dalmo Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Oliveira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Carvalho in the 92nd minute of play forced Vagner's goalkeeper Cristiano Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Vagner players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
