In the 8th minute of the match Grunge Futebol Clube got a corner. Guayra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Faustino Orlandus ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Grunge Futebol Clube's Faustino Orlandus to fire away a dangerous shot which Danilo de Brito despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Emerson Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Narciso Soares sent off a good shot on target. When Murillo de Brito came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Grunge Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murillo de Brito couldn't finish the play. When Guayra's Jerônimo Berger in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 29 minutes, Belmiro Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grunge Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 minutes of play, Grunge Futebol Clube's Belmiro Carvalho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo de Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Narciso Soares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Emerson Oliveira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Emerson Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Berger in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Guayra's João Vítor Messias got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46thth minute of the game Belmiro Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guayra's Danilo de Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murillo de Brito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anderson Rocha tried in the game's 52nd match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Danilo de Brito. An annoying self made goal, 0-3. Murillo de Brito in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danilo de Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Narciso Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Grunge Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Betão Brodel. Emerson Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerson Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Berger in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Narciso Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guayra's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Murillo de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo de Brito having to interfere. Belmiro Carvalho in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danilo de Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 79th match minute, Guayra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Alexsandro Albuquerque hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When Belmiro Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Grunge Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. Murillo de Brito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Danilo de Brito when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
