He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Itapuan AD reached it. Guilherme Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá de Senna in the 15th minute of the match. William Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the game, Cauã Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macu SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itapuan AD the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Macu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauã Pombal to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá de Senna in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá de Senna in the 23rd minute of play forced Macu SC's goalkeeper Guilherme Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Macu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá de Senna came free, but Guilherme Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilherme Saldanha came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Itapuan AD's William Berger. But to his dismay, William Berger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 40th minute Felipe Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Macu SC booed when Itapuan AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Paulo Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Macu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá de Senna came free, but Guilherme Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frédson Alvarenga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Itapuan AD's goal looked a bit too open when Frédson Alvarenga came free, but Belchior Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Macu SC's Paulo Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Natanael Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itapuan AD's goalkeeper Belchior Machado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Macu SC's zone, William Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Saldanha came out of the goal and William Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Belchior Machado made a huge save. In the 64th minute Macu SC were awarded a corner. Téo Braga went to the cornerflag to take it. Itapuan AD's William Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Felipe Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapuan AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macu SC the free kick. Felipe Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Téo Braga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Belchior Machado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Macu SC's Cauã Pombal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Belchior Machado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 82ndth minute of the game Paulo Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapuan AD's Belchior Machado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, William Berger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guilherme Saldanha. Macu SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Macu SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
