Luiz Fabiano Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Netto hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Oswaldo da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Hames, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Hames took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Oswaldo da Silva to make any attempt to save it. Rubinho Ferraz's late challenge caught a Rianapolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubinho Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Rubinho Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Hames dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oswaldo da Silva, 2-0. When Benjamim Tepedino fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rianapolis's protests and gave Benjamim Tepedino a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rianapolis's Benjamim Tepedino got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute Meirim were awarded a corner. Luiz Fabiano Hames went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Fabiano Hames got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oswaldo da Silva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Luiz Fabiano Hames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moisés Motta to strike the kick off in the second half. Zézinho Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 played minutes Rianapolis got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Breckenfeld. 61 minutes into the game, Meirim's Ediberto Albuquerque nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo da Silva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Hames in the 64th minute of play forced Rianapolis's goalkeeper Oswaldo da Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubinho Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Moisés Motta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Moisés Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oswaldo da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Hames in the 86th minute of the match. Benjamim Tepedino hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Motta in the 93rd minute of play forced Meirim's goalkeeper Zézinho Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Meirim fully deserved thier win.
