In the 27th match minute, Mangunca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armandinho de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Nipoan SC's Felippe da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aírton Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulinho Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anísio Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Vides in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Mangunca EC's Aírton Quadros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Denílson Vides struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Anísio Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nipoan SC. In the 57th minute, Paulinho Terra made a precise shot to the right of Isaltino Borges. Nipoan SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Mangunca EC's Armandinho de Alcântara got a free kick in the 59th minute. Isaltino Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Armandinho de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mangunca EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nipoan SC the free kick. In the 67th match minute, Mangunca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armandinho de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense.
