An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Vergílio in the 9th minute of play forced Corumba's goalkeeper Cláudio Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Thomás Passos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiago Gabriel Mangueira was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Corumba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 46th minute, Reynaldo Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Corumba's Cláudio Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Terra in the 56th minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Thomás Passos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Philipps FC's Tiago Gabriel Mangueira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per-Filip Sæle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88thth minute of the game Cido Terra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corumba's Cláudio Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Cido Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philipps FC's Vivaldo Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Corumba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Philipps FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
