Cameta SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carua the free kick. Amadeu Azevedo, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Germano Quadros in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Válter Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilson Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Germano Quadros made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Cameta SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Válter Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Quadros in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Carua booed when Cameta SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball.
