Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. José Pedro Cabral started the match with the kick off. Neris AD's Arthur Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard de Senna in the 3rd minute of play. After 3 minutes of play, 11 Mortos SS's Edgard de Senna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur Maranhense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abel Vieira hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Zbyszek Kosmatka sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Neris AD's Arthur Maranhense didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Furtado got free with Magno Sena in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, José Pedro Cabral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Magno Sena. The goal made the score 1-1. If José Pedro Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Percival Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Neris AD's Telmo Bittencourt got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute, Neris AD's Ademar de Senna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Magno Sena. Magno Sena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. Magno Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Cabral in the 53rd minute of play. When Mário Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neris AD's protests and gave Mário Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. Mário Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. José Pedro Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magno Sena having to make a save. The supporters of 11 Mortos SS booed when Neris AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Edgard de Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, José Pedro Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magno Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. When Mário Furtado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Neris AD's Mário Furtado got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Edgard de Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 11 Mortos SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Arthur Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Rocha in the 92nd minute of play. The Neris AD players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
