Cauacu's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney Bittencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldo Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Benjamin Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sydney Bittencourt scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vânderson Baiano made a kick off. The supporters of Cauacu booed when Salqueiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Vânderson Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Salqueiro's Benjamin Cerezo got control of the ball when Renatinho Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle.
