An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Vergílio in the 13th minute of play forced Capoeirucu EC's goalkeeper Lauro Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lauro Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lauro Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Taquarandi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Cristian Meireles scored to the left of an out of position Oséas Azevedo, making the score, 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rômulo França made a kick off. Telmo Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Artur Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 65 minutes, Álvaro Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taquarandi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enrique Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geraldo de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Lauro Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Capoeirucu EC's Lauro Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo de Queiroz in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Capoeirucu EC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Elivélton Alcântara hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Taquarandi's Benedito Valle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Enrique Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Lauro Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capoeirucu EC's goalkeeper Lauro Fontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Geraldo de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Capoeirucu EC's goalkeeper Lauro Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Vergílio. 89 minutes into the game, Telmo Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capoeirucu EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taquarandi the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Capoeirucu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Toledo to maneuver through the defense. When Geraldo de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Taquarandi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geraldo de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geraldo de Queiroz in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauro Fontes saved Capoeirucu EC from getting behind. In the 97th minute, Geraldo de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Taquarandi left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Capoeirucu EC.
