Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Renato Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agenor Alvarenga in the 5th minute of the match. Agenor Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 9 minutes, Otávio Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerquinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bebeto Correia struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Ivo de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abunai SC. Agenor Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Pimenta having to interfere. Ivo de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amauri Bittencourt's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Otávio Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerquinho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Otávio Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renato Pimenta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agenor Alvarenga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renato Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. When Amauri Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Abunai SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amauri Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. After 43 played minutes Cerquinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Nunes. Ivo de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Bittencourt in the 44th minute of play. If Bebeto Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Amauri Bittencourt made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amauri Bittencourt in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo de Amaral saved Cerquinho FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Abunai SC's Renato Pimenta got control of the ball when Jefferson Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otávio Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Renato Pimenta came out and tried to block the shot, but Otávio Almeida slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Massa in the 67th minute of play forced Cerquinho FC's goalkeeper Ivo de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Amauri Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Correia took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivo de Amaral. Ivo de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Abunai SC's Marquinhos Pena got a free kick in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Abunai SC's zone, Otávio Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renato Pimenta came out of the goal and Otávio Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Pena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abunai SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerquinho FC the free kick. In the 81st minute, Marquinhos Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otávio Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Pimenta having to interfere. Otávio Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renato Pimenta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Renato Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agenor Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otávio Almeida in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Renato Pimenta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 93rd minute Bebeto Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Amauri Bittencourt sped through Cerquinho FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivo de Amaral. Abunai SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
