Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Betinho Bueno started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Umberto Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maicon Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Luiz Guilherme Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Spartans's Matías Esteves got control of the ball when Agenor Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Maicon Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Spartans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maicon Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Matías Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agenor Urbano in the 19th minute. Talhada SC's Luiz Guilherme Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Hever in the 22nd minute of play. Claudinei Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Favoretto having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Talhada SC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio de Castro. Geraldo Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Guilherme Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, Spartans's Matías Esteves got control of the ball when Agenor Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Agenor Urbano fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talhada SC's protests and gave Agenor Urbano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Talhada SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agenor Urbano to maneuver through the defense. Elias Hever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luiz Guilherme Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maicon Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Guilherme Favoretto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Talhada SC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Umberto Barral hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Talhada SC's zone, Armandinho Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Guilherme Favoretto came out of the goal and Armandinho Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maicon Barbosa to make the kick off. Matías Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agenor Urbano in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Bueno in the 56th minute of play forced Spartans's goalkeeper Matías Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Maicon Barbosa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Spartans's Claudinei Ceresso got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maicon Barbosa got free with Luiz Guilherme Favoretto in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armandinho Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Maicon Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Guilherme Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Noel Rosa hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Maicon Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Hever struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Luiz Guilherme Favoretto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spartans. Armandinho Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spartans's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
