Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vladimir Leal kicked off to start the match. Frédson Diniz's late challenge caught a Sobralia SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frédson Diniz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sobralia SS booed when Bodote EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes, Sobralia SS's Jeferson Trigo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Denílson Azevedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sobralia SS reached it. Bodote EC's Silvinho Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimir Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Urbano having to interfere. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sobralia SS's goalkeeper Kléberson Urbano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kléberson Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Leal in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Frédson Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Raimundo de Souza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Denílson Azevedo. Raimundo de Souza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Didi Damião took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kléberson Urbano. Sobralia SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Valdo Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute Raimundo de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Silvinho Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kléberson Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimir Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denílson Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo de Souza in the 37th minute of the match. Vladimir Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Urbano having to interfere. Kléberson Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Soares in the 40th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Valdo Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Valdo Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raimundo de Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kléberson Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Valdo Arce took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denílson Azevedo. Denílson Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 71 minutes into the match, Bodote EC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Arce came free, but Denílson Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ivo Botelho fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bodote EC's protests and gave Ivo Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd match minute, Bodote EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Botelho to maneuver through the defense. 2-1 became the score in the 75th minute when Vladimir Leal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Ivo Botelho was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. In the 80th minute, Ivo Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Valdo Arce came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Sobralia SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Arce couldn't finish the play.
