The referee showed Baltazar Barral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 61 minutes into the game, Rui Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pereiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Heidrich Futebol Clube the free kick. Geovânio Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silas Rodrigues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. If Valdomiro Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Erasmo Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pereiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Pedro Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96thth minute of the game Valdomiro Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Heidrich Futebol Clube's José Pedro Tróia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that Pereiro were the better team. Pereiro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
