Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Luisão Luz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Vítor Donato in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerson Bittencourt saved Tulhas from getting behind. José Vítor Donato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerson Bittencourt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Tostão Donato came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Tulhas's Patrício Tasso. But to his dismay, Patrício Tasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Patrício Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tostão Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrício Tasso got free with Tostão Donato in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Tulhas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano da Silva came free, but Gerson Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Luís Eduardo França shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerson Bittencourt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cristiano da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Girao's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano da Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerson Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Vânderson Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrício Tasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Tostão Donato made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Luisão Luz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tostão Donato. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, José Vítor Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Girao's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Cristiano da Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Gerson Bittencourt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 41 minutes, José Vítor Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Girao and the Tulhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Vítor Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When Patrício Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Tulhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrício Tasso couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that José Vítor Donato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerson Bittencourt was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cristiano da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gerson Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Renato de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match Luís Eduardo França shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerson Bittencourt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Enio Perez got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 67th match minute, Tulhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Perez to maneuver through the defense. Luisão Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Tostão Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldir Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerson Bittencourt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Patrício Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tostão Donato having to interfere. Dorival Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorival Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dorival Albuquerque hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The supporters of Tulhas booed when Girao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th match minute, Girao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. If Patrício Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Patrício Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano da Silva hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tulhas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Girao had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
