Erivaldo Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrício Tasso in the 6th minute of the match. Angelo Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Luisão Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tulhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisão Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute of the match Rubens Penha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erivaldo Aguiar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luisão Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute of the match Dorival Albuquerque sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erivaldo Aguiar skillfully saved the ball. Patrício Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Erivaldo Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Tulhas's Gerson Bittencourt got control of the ball when Geovânio Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Patrício Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrício Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisão Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo Aguiar having to interfere. Erivaldo Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrício Tasso in the 33rd minute of play. Patrício Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robinho Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Patrício Tasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisão Luz in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Aguiar saved Castelandia from getting behind. Luisão Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Tulhas played a much better game than Castelandia and deserved their victory. The Castelandia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
