Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cícero Sá kicked off to start the match. Chico Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garatuba's Chiquinho Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Garatuba from getting a goal against them. Gino do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Vieira having to interfere. Moisés de Barros's late challenge caught a Garatuba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés de Barros helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Candeiras AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés de Barros to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Cícero Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Brasil in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chiquinho Leal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mazinho Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chiquinho Leal made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Chico Brasil sent off a good shot on target. Chico Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Leal having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, one of Garatuba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cícero Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 48 minutes, Cícero Sá made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Candeiras AD's Mazinho Vieira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

After 54 minutes, Bebeto Toscano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garatuba and the Candeiras AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Garatuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Toscano to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes Garatuba got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Toscano. 58 minutes into the match, Agostinho Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chiquinho Leal. Garatuba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agostinho Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 63 played minutes Candeiras AD got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Gonçalves. Garatuba's Cícero Sá managed to work through Candeiras AD's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cícero Sá dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 72 minutes into the game, Aírton Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candeiras AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garatuba the free kick. In the 72nd match minute, Candeiras AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Cícero Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazinho Vieira having to interfere. Candeiras AD's Ernesto Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Garatuba's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Brasil came free, but Chiquinho Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Candeiras AD booed when Garatuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chico Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Leal having to interfere. After some careless play in the Garatuba defense, Agostinho Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chiquinho Leal. The Garatuba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chiquinho Leal should have stopped the shot. If Agostinho Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
