An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Favoretto in the 4th minute of play forced Baguassu EC's goalkeeper Dida Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Veiga made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when José Carlos Viana sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Boiao's Norberto Veiga got control of the ball when José Carlos Viana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Norberto Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Massa in the 11th minute of play. José Carlos Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Baguassu EC's Dida Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Terra in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Baguassu EC booed when Boiao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Viana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Norberto Veiga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Evaristo Massa took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norberto Veiga. Norberto Veiga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. José Carlos Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Norberto Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Carlos Viana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norberto Veiga having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Baguassu EC's Agnaldo Esteves got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Dida Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-0 became the score in the 39th minute when José Carlos Viana elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as José Carlos Viana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Norberto Veiga. That made the score 3-0 in the 44 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dino Vander made a kick off. Zé Roberto Terra came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dida Silva could save by the left post. Zé Roberto Terra in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dida Silva, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Baguassu EC's Dida Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Vander in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Baguassu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Vander came free, but Dida Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kauan Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Vander in the 74th minute of the match. After 75 minutes, Evaristo Massa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baguassu EC and the Boiao players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Boiao booed when Baguassu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Zé Roberto Terra came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Boiao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Roberto Terra couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Baguassu EC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Agnaldo Esteves hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the game, Abel Maia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baguassu EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boiao the free kick. After a rather tough play, Baguassu EC's Abel Maia got a free kick in the 85th minute. Baguassu EC's Dida Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Baguassu EC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Baguassu EC booed when Boiao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball.
