The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Sombra EC's goalkeeper Breno Sabóia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráusio Lopes. Breno Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Tasso in the 11th minute of the match. Naldo Diniz charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Naldo Diniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Naldo Diniz hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Cauan Mazza was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cacununga's Fabrício Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Hugo de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Téo Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sombra EC's Téo Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 35 minutes, Oséas Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sombra EC and the Cacununga players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cacununga booed when Sombra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséas Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Valdemar da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sombra EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cacununga's Fabrício Vasconcelos got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Fabrício Vasconcelos off the ground. In the 45th match minute, Cacununga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Téo Furtado struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Hugo Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sombra EC.

In the 62nd minute, Téo Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luizão Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Hugo de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Hugo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Hugo de Amaral made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Catarinense. Cacununga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cacununga's goalkeeper Hugo Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Cacununga got a freekick which was hit by Luizão Tasso. When Hugo de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Sombra EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo de Amaral couldn't finish the play. Hugo de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Hugo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sombra EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
