José Vítor Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Furtado in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sombra EC's Oséas Santos got a free kick in the 21st minute. The supporters of Paraibuna SC booed when Sombra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes, Paraibuna SC's Marco de Amaral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Breno Sabóia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraibuna SC reached it. After 34 played minutes Paraibuna SC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Gerber. When Hugo de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Sombra EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo de Amaral couldn't finish the play. Chico Pena hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Paraibuna SC's zone, Téo Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Pereira came out of the goal and Téo Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Sombra EC got a freekick which was hit by Cauan Mazza. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Donatello Quintal made the kick off in the second half. Téo Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donatello Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breno Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Donatello Quintal struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Breno Sabóia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraibuna SC. After a defensive mix-up in Sombra EC's zone, Matheus Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Sabóia came out of the goal and Matheus Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breno Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donatello Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Paraibuna SC's José Vítor Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo de Amaral in the 68th minute of play. José Vítor Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Furtado in the 69th minute of the match. When Sombra EC's Hugo de Amaral in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
